The Four Bodies
Humans Experience life through four basic lenses: Physical, Mental, Emotional, Spiritual
Radical Acceptance
Accepting Reality as it is without resistance, judgement, or wishful thinking.
Stoicism
Focus on what we can control, letting go of what we can't. Creating peace through wisdom, virtue, and consistency.

At Wayfinders, our outlook on every human is that every one of us is a unique expression of some higher, unknown energy. Some might call this The Universe, Oneness, or God.
To understand this a little deeper, consider the sun for a moment. It sends energy outward in infinite directions, with each ray composed of the same energy, but heading in a slightly different direction in order to satisfy it's role in the infinite generation of energy outward.
Human beings are like these rays, and the energy of the Universe is like that sun. When each human follows their path to the fullest, it will impact the area it was directed. It can be similar in nature, energy, and frequency to the other rays, but it doesn't need to go in the direction. In fact, if it didn't go in a unique path, some areas would get none of that exchange.
This is why the celebration of each person's uniqueness is so important to our coaching practice, and our only purpose is to help everyone find their path and shine their brightest.
It's 2025, and we find ourselves in an interesting time. The Mental Health Crisis has been cited as the illness of our time by the CDC and WHO. The need for stronger communities, nuanced support, and the increase of management tools has also reached an all-time high. Effective coaches and personal development are among these supports.
Coaching is also an unregulated field with a low barrier of entry, which makes it tricky to find the right kind of help. It would be an easy place for people to practice therapeutic methods without the training or deep understanding of proven methods and identifying root causes and addressing those in a practical and helpful way. So why have coaches at all? Isn't therapy the only obvious choice?
From my perspective, therapy is primarily focused on understanding and successfully processing the past to make the present more successful. Coaching is about taking the present to head to a more successful future. Often a person with severe trauma might benefit from both.

Good coaches and good therapists will likely borrow tools, techniques, and understanding from both fields to be highly effective. Most coaches that aren't also therapists don't have the training to deal with deep trauma, and most practicing therapists are bound by guidelines that prevent them from the more direct approach coaching takes.
When seeking out a professional that is the right fit, my suggestion is to look deeply at two aspects: their embodiment and their authenticity.
Effective coaches are consistent and highly skilled in these areas:
• Empowering their clients with tools, wisdom, mindset, and motivation.
• Listening and understanding their clients unique circumstances, including gifts and challenges.
• Tailoring sessions and feedback to their client's uniqueness.
• Fostering a cooperative relationship and avoid superiority / inferiority dynamics.
Useful questions to ask during a Discovery Call:
• How have your suggested tools/mindset/philosophy positively impact your life?
• Where were you able to learn about and cultivate these tools?
• Where do you have trouble practicing the tools/mindset/philosophy in your current life?
• Have you had clients that have had trouble implementing the tools/mindset/philosophy you share? What have those experiences been like?
Coaching Red Flags:
• Lack of transparency or signs of embodiment.
• General "gut" feeling (Has your body ever known before your mind does?)
• Lack of specific experience, background, training beyond their personal life.
• Cannot give resources or references for the tools / practices suggested.
